We use very thin needles to deliver gentle yet effective treatments. All needles are sterile and used only once before they are destroyed. Most people find acupuncture treatment to be painless and relaxing.
Treatments session generally take 50 minutes. We schedule 90 minute appointments for initial visits, when we take a full health history and patient evaluation followed by a treatment. At your first visit Rebecca will recommended a course of treatment which may be 4 to 12 sessions depending on your condition. Rebecca works together with patients to develop an individual plan for each person.
In addition to acupuncture, Rebecca incorporates cupping, gua sha, tuina, moxibustion, dietary advice and herbal supplements in individual treatments. To increase the efficacy of treatment, electro-acupuncture is also often used. Rebecca was trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine and practices Chinese style acupuncture.
